Search terms
A name or location entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. This site does not intentionally store those search terms in its own content system. The provider may process the query under its own terms and privacy policy.
Messages
An email or other editorial message may be kept long enough to reply, maintain a record of the exchange, and address a correction or policy question. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless service delivery or law requires it. Do not send dates of birth, SBI numbers, A-numbers, victim details, or other sensitive custody information.
Automatic Technical Data
Normal server, security, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- IP address and approximate network location
- Browser name, version, and language
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page or site
- Request dates and timestamps
Cookies
Cookies or similar storage may help measure use, remember technical settings, control security, or support advertising. Browser controls can block or delete them, though some site or partner functions may then behave differently.
How Data Is Used
Collected data supports ordinary operation and measurement. It may be used to:

No result from NJDOC, a county, VINELink, or another official service is stored here as a hosted government record.
Links and Official Services
Links lead to NJDOC, the State Parole Board, New Jersey Courts, county sites, VINELink, BOP, ICE, and other services. Each destination controls its own collection, retention, security, and disclosure practices. Registering for a VINE notice occurs with VINELink, not this site. Government portals may log identifiers, query details, or access data under their own rules.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure visits or select ads across sites. Their policies, not this notice alone, govern that processing.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold as a standalone contact list. It may reach:
- search partners that process a submitted query
- analytics vendors that measure page use
- advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- hosting, security, or technical providers
- law enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order
Security Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for site systems. No internet service, message route, analytics product, or storage system can be promised as breach-proof. Limit the personal information placed in any message or search field and use official secure agency channels when a record request requires an identifier.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal data from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the editorial contact route to request review and deletion where applicable.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on applicable law and the data held by this site, a person may ask for access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal data, and may object to some processing. Browser settings can manage cookies. Requests cannot change a government record held by NJDOC, a court, or another agency; corrections to those records must go to the originating office.
