Permitted Use
The content may be used for lawful personal reference, release verification, official record navigation, custody notifications, and court or legal processes. Users must not interfere with the site, automate abusive requests, misrepresent a result, bypass access controls, scrape protected data, or use the service in violation of law or an agency's terms.
FCRA Restriction
New Jersey Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Site content and linked partner results may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other FCRA-covered eligibility decision. No page or tool is offered as a consumer report.
Changing Custody Information
Custody status and date fields can change or lag. A transfer is not community release. Parole eligibility is not a grant. A Current Max Release Date is not an actual release date, and a Date Out-of-Custody does not by itself show that supervision ended. Users must confirm material facts with the government office that created the record.

Links to NJDOC, counties, courts, parole, VINELink, BOP, ICE, and private search tools are supplied for convenience. A link is not an endorsement. The destination controls its own content, charges, availability, privacy practices, and terms. This site cannot correct, remove, certify, or guarantee an outside result.
No Warranties
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, no express or implied warranty is made as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. Government interfaces and source records can change without notice.
Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use, inability to use, reliance on content, an outside link, a search result, or a delayed or incorrect agency record. Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded is limited to the minimum extent the law permits.
Indemnification
A user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the operator harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable fees arising from that user's unlawful conduct, violation of these terms, infringement of another person's rights, or misuse or misstatement of custody and release information.
Intellectual Property
Original site text, organization, graphics, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Government records and agency materials remain subject to their own legal status. These terms do not transfer ownership or grant permission to copy the site as a competing publication.
Changes and Access
The terms may be revised by posting new wording here. Access may be limited, suspended, or revoked when necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or a violation of these rules. Continued use after a revision means acceptance of the updated terms.
New Jersey Law
These terms are governed by New Jersey law, without giving effect to conflict-of-law rules, except where federal law controls. If one term is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent needed and the remaining terms will continue in effect.
